P 601 Microgrid Design Guide is to provide Department of the Navy (DON) Installations with a basic understanding of microgrid technology and a common methodology to identify requirements and develop conceptual designs. Microgrid implementation should be evaluated through site specific consideration at each respective installation. A microgrid is a network of systems that performs as a strategic tool to serve mission sustainability without relying on the external commercial power grid.
