The National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) is pleased to announce that the core functionality of the Whole Building Design Guide has been restored and is now available for public use.

As many users are aware, NIBS took down the WBDG portal abruptly in early October 2024 for mandatory security and maintenance upgrades. This included moving the WBDG to a new hosting environment as well as building a new site in a new platform for security purposes. We appreciate our Federal agency supporters, industry partners, and dedicated users for their patience while NIBS took necessary mitigation steps per security protocols.

NIBS looks forward to continuing our longstanding relationships with our WBDG partners, and bringing the new WBDG online.
