This guide details minimum performance requirements for the selection, installation practices, and quality assurance of flexible sprinkler hose fittings in Department of Defense (DoD) facilities. It applies to all new construction, renovation, modernization, and rehabilitation of fire sprinkler systems in facilities.
It expands on the requirements of UFC 3-600-01 Fire Protection Engineering for Facilities, Chapter 9, and NFPA 13 Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems. This guide applies to DoD organizations evaluating use of flexible sprinkler hose fittings.
