This Public Works Technical Bulletin (PWTB) addresses concerns developed through the experience of state wildlife agencies, university studies in veterinary medicine, investigations performed by Army research organizations, and recommendations contained in the interagency Candidate Conservation Agreement (CCA) for the eastern population of the gopher tortoise (Gopherus polyphemus) signed by the Army in 2009.
