Guidance for Reviewing Army Contracts for Compliance with Sustainable Procurement Requirements  

The purpose of this document is to provide contract reviewers with guidance on determining compliance with Sustainable Procurement requirements when conducting contract reviews. Attachments 1 – 4 are key references as described in paragraph 2. Attachment 5 provides applicable specifications and clauses, organized by contract type, that should be included to comply with mandatory preference programs. It includes nine types of contracts that commonly involve the purchase or use of products with sustainable alternatives. If a contract being reviewed is not in one of these nine categories, the information in Attachment 5 serves as an example of specifications and clauses that still may be included.
