Recent legislative and executive action developed plans for workplace charging and fleet
acquisition of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs). Drivers who are unfamiliar with the technology often have questions about the different types of vehicles, safety, battery range, charging, and maintenance. This course presents clear answers to common questions about PEVs.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Find, identify, and use different types of charging equipment;
  • Understand electric-drive vehicle types and available vehicle models;
  • Navigate factors that influence battery driving range, including weather, steep terrain, and speed; and
  • Safely operate and maintain a PEV.
