As the Federal government makes the transition to electric vehicle (EV) fleets, how will it fund the necessary charging infrastructure? This session provides energy managers with an overview of various strategies to fund the installation and operation and/or maintenance of EV charging infrastructure to enable successful project planning and support the widespread transition to EV fleets. Subject matter experts will discuss the options available, including the role of utilities, grant/demonstration program opportunities, and charging as a service. The session will address planning considerations, including the assessment of current infrastructure capacity and potential necessary upgrades, and their impact on funding.
