Presented by the National Institute of Building Sciences, FEDCon® The Market Outlook on Federal Construction '11 took place Tuesday, December 6, at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., alongside the Institute's Annual Meeting and the Ecobuild America conference and exhibition.

FEDCon® The Market Outlook on Federal Construction '11 gave private-sector architects, engineers, general and specialty contractors, and manufacturers insight on what they need to know to deliver services and products to the U.S. federal government - the world's largest facility owner and procurer of design and construction services. Officials from a number of federal agencies, including the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. General Services Administration, U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Transportation and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, presented their construction budgets for the current year and planned budgets for future years, discussing the types of buildings to be designed, offering regional and international construction information, and providing the overall direction of their design/construction programs.
