The National Energy Conservation Policy Act is a statute enacted as part of the National Energy Act. The Act provides for the regulation of interstate commerce, to reduce the growth in demand for energy in the United States, and to conserve nonrenewable energy resources produced in the U.S. and elsewhere, without inhibiting beneficial economic growth.
